Descente to open new flagship store in Ginza

Descente Japan is set to open ‘DESCENTE GINZA’ on September 17, 2026, in Tokyo’s Ginza district. The new flagship store marks a strategic shift from a multi-brand golf complex to a dedicated brand location designed to showcase the innovation and high-performance technology of the Descente brand.

The three-story facility, spanning approximately 332 to 335 square meters, features distinct spatial designs for each floor created by architect Koichiro Oniki. The first floor will house one of Japan’s largest footwear departments, offering a full lineup of sneakers, sandals, boots, and golf shoes. The second floor is dedicated to the ‘ALLTERRAIN’ line, while the third floor focuses on golf and brand history, featuring a large ceiling-integrated screen for events and exhibitions.

This expansion aims to target urban professionals and wealthy inbound tourists by emphasizing high-quality, functional apparel that meets modern dress codes. Descente Japan plans to continue exploring large-scale store openings in major urban areas such as Omotesando and Shinjuku.
