DeSean Bishop exits Tennessee game with apparent hip injury
Tennessee Volunteers star running back DeSean Bishop exited the game against Kennesaw State with an apparent hip injury. Bishop was seen holding his side after being hit from behind during the first half. While he was able to walk off the field under his own power and returned to the sideline fully dressed after halftime, he did not participate in the second half.
Prior to the injury, Bishop had recorded seven carries for 27 yards and a touchdown, along with one reception for 15 yards. The injury comes during a season where Bishop has been a standout performer, following a 1,076-yard rushing season last year.
Teammate De'Rail Sims previously highlighted Bishop's growth as a leader, noting that the running back's confidence and faith have significantly impacted the team's unit cohesion.
