Desenvolve SP and Möbius Capital launch R$ 70M digital infrastructure fund

Desenvolve SP and Möbius Capital have launched a R$ 70 million credit rights investment fund (FIDC) to finance digital infrastructure in the state of São Paulo. The fund specifically targets small-scale data center operators and regional internet service providers, particularly in interior cities with limited technological connectivity.

Under the fund's structure, Desenvolve SP will subscribe R$ 50 million in senior shares, representing 71.4% of the expected equity, while Möbius Capital will provide R$ 20 million in subordinated shares. This arrangement ensures that Möbius absorbs the initial credit risks, acting as a protection layer for the senior shares held by the state development agency.

The capital is intended to facilitate the anticipation of receivables from individual and corporate clients, fund equipment purchases, and support infrastructure expansion. Additionally, the fund aims to support mergers and acquisitions within the sector, which is currently undergoing a period of market consolidation.
