DESFA receives OGMP 2.0 Gold Standard for sixth consecutive year

DESFA has been awarded the Gold Standard by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0) for the sixth year in a row. As a founding member of the initiative, the company has achieved a 55% reduction in methane emissions in 2025 compared to the 2015 baseline, exceeding its initial 45% target.

Building on this progress, DESFA has set a new long-term goal to reduce methane emissions by 60% by 2030, aligning with European Union climate objectives. To support these targets, the company is implementing advanced leak detection inspections across 100% of its network, utilizing a specialized digital application for real-time emission monitoring, and upgrading equipment at the Revythoussa LNG Terminal to minimize flaring.
