DeShon Elliott activated from injured reserve by Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have activated safety DeShon Elliott from the injured reserve list. The 29-year-old veteran returns to the field nearly one year after suffering a serious knee injury during a game against the Green Bay Packers on October 26, 2025.

Elliott is expected to be available for the Steelers' upcoming matchup against the New Orleans Saints at the Stade de France. This game marks the first NFL regular-season game held in Paris. To bolster the roster for the matchup, the Steelers have also promoted wide receivers Brandon Johnson and Brandon Smith from the practice squad.

Throughout his career, which includes stints with the Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, and Miami Dolphins, Elliott has appeared in 77 games. His return provides a significant defensive reinforcement for Pittsburgh as they look to maintain their position in the standings.
