Design exhibitions scheduled in Tokyo and Taipei

Major design exhibitions are scheduled in Japan and Taiwan, highlighting regional and international graphic design trends.

In Tokyo, the Japan Institute of Design Promotion will host the 70th Good Design Award exhibition at Tokyo Midtown Roppongi starting October 31. The event will showcase all award winners, including the Good Design Grand Prize and the Long Life Design Award. A pop-up store will offer approximately 250 award-winning items, and a special exhibition will feature 35 works from the Hiroshima Good Design Award.

In Taipei, the C-GRAPHIC/TAIPEI exhibition is currently running at NOKE through November 9. Curated by Javin Mo and Tetsuya Goto, the show focuses on the visual identity of Taipei through the work of 15 design teams born between 1980 and 1990. The exhibition explores the intersection of independent studios and public systems, utilizing themes from local night markets and temples. It also features the gggBooks series from the DNP Cultural Foundation and includes works from members of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).
