Design Week South Africa 2026 to be held in Cape Town

Design Week South Africa 2026 is scheduled to take place in Cape Town from 22 to 25 October 2026. Presented in partnership with Pinterest, the festival will utilize galleries, studios, hotels, and public spaces under the theme ‘The Shape of Us’.

Key highlights include the ‘Art × Fashion × Design’ installation at BlackBrick Gardens, co-curated by Maropeng Maphala and Christina Fortune. This exhibition features Pan-African creativity, including sculptural works by Nwabisa Ntlokwana, ceramic forms by Vida Madighi-Oghu, and handwoven garments by Hanardy Iddriss of SeeMee Studio. Additionally, the A4 Arts Foundation in District Six will host installations by Cameron Platter exploring printed matter as an artistic medium.
