Designer Stella Nolasco supports Puerto Rican causes through fashion
Fashion designer Stella Nolasco has utilized her creative work to support social and cultural initiatives in Puerto Rico. In September 2026, she participated in the ‘De Rojo Por La Vida’ exhibition at Plaza Las Américas, where she designed four red ensembles using fringe, cutouts, and transparency to visually represent the symptoms and experiences of multiple myeloma.
Nolasco also joined the ‘DUAL: Arte y Moda’ project at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico to support the institution’s community and educational programs. These recent projects follow her 30th anniversary in the fashion industry celebrated in 2025.
Originally from Aguadilla, Nolasco’s career has spanned from San Juan to New York Fashion Week, with her designs worn by figures such as Beyoncé and Eva Longoria. Her work frequently incorporates Puerto Rican cultural elements, including the national flag, the national flower, and traditional items like guayaberas.
