Desire FC and Hellas Verona partner to develop Ghanaian football talent

Desire Football Club, a Ghanaian youth academy based in Obuasi, has entered into a partnership with the Italian club Hellas Verona. This collaboration is part of the HV Academy project, which aims to develop young football talent in Ghana and foster cultural exchange between the two footballing communities.

Desire FC, which has operated its youth sector since 2016 with teams ranging from Under-15 to Under-21, seeks to enhance the pathway for Ghanaian players to enter the Italian football league. The partnership follows similar HV Academy initiatives in Senegal and Nigeria as Hellas Verona expands its international youth development network.

Desire FC President Sammy Appiah and Sporting Director Salvatore Zito recently visited Hellas Verona’s headquarters to formalize the alliance.
