Desktop Mate offers 20% discount on Hello Kitty and Kuromi DLC

Infinite Loop Co., Ltd. has announced a birthday commemorative sale for the desktop mascot platform, Desktop Mate. From October 30 to November 13, 2026, the Hello Kitty and Kuromi downloadable content (DLC) will be available at a 20% discount, priced at 1,760 yen instead of the usual 2,200 yen.

The sale celebrates the consecutive birthdays of the Sanrio characters: Kuromi on October 31 and Hello Kitty on November 1. Users can utilize the platform’s multi-character feature to display both characters on the same desktop simultaneously, though this specific functionality is limited to Sanrio character combinations and is currently unavailable on the Mac open beta version.

The Hello Kitty DLC includes animations such as winking, clapping, and blushing, with a special heart-giving motion when clicked. The Kuromi DLC features various behaviors including reading books, taking selfies, and yawning while napping. Other Sanrio characters, including Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, Pochacco, and My Melody, are also available on the platform through separate DLCs or a combined Sanrio Characters DLC set.
