Despar announces 180 new hires in Northern Italy amid expansion

Despar, through its Aspiag Service division, has announced the recruitment of approximately 180 new employees to strengthen its commercial network in Northern Italy. The expansion targets various regions, including Veneto, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Trentino Alto Adige. The company is seeking retail, administrative, technical, and logistics profiles, offering diverse contract types such as permanent, fixed-term, apprenticeship, and part-time roles suitable for students.

This recruitment follows a period of growth for the company, which reported a 2025 turnover of 2.871 billion euros, a 3.1% increase. Despar has invested approximately 100 million euros to renovate and expand its commercial network, including the opening of 13 new points of sale.

Simultaneously, the labor market in Sardinia is seeing increased activity through ASPAL and the Sardegna Lavoro portal. New opportunities are emerging across several sectors, including tourism, nautical maintenance, healthcare, and mechanics. Notable openings include 90 positions for hospitality operators in Alghero, as well as specialized roles in Olbia, Sassari, and Nuoro, covering everything from administrative support to industrial maintenance.
