Despar supermarkets in Cosenza face union‑led labor dispute over shifts and contracts

The CISL Fisascat Cosenza union has voiced strong concern over numerous reports from employees at Despar supermarkets in the province of Cosenza, which are operated by Maiora S.p.A. Workers have highlighted problems with work organization, the application of the national collective bargaining agreement, scheduling, shift rotations, task assignments, staff transfers and overall workplace relations.

The union says the issues require an immediate, thorough verification and has already launched syndical initiatives, requesting a meeting with Maiora to discuss the reported critical points and seek shared solutions. CISL Fisascat Cosenza warned that, if the company does not provide adequate and concrete responses, further union actions may be taken to protect workers' rights and ensure compliance with labour regulations.
