Despoina Moiraraki discusses past abuse and plans charity bazaar

Greek entrepreneur and presenter Despoina Moiraraki shared personal details regarding her past during an interview on the program ‘MEGA Non Stop’. She revealed that she experienced physical and verbal abuse, including profanity, during her first marriage. Moiraraki noted that she remained silent at the time to protect her children, who witnessed some of these incidents.

Reflecting on her life journey, she described growing up in poverty after losing her father early, noting that she once lacked basic necessities like shoes. She attributed her current professional success in the handmade carpet industry to her own hard work.

In response to her experiences, Moiraraki announced plans to organize a two-day charitable bazaar. She will auction clothing and accessories from her personal collection, with a portion of the proceeds intended to support women who have suffered abuse.

Additionally, she spoke about her late husband, Admiral Giannis Kontoulis, who passed away from cancer five years ago. While she expressed that he remains in her heart, she stated she is open to the possibility of new love in the future.
