Destin Conrad wins 2026 Billboard R&B Rising Star Award

Singer Destin Conrad was named the 2026 Billboard R&B Rising Star at the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event held in New York City on September 9, 2026. Conrad accepted the award alongside Hip-Hop Rising Star Samara Cyn and Caribbean Rising Star Skippa.

During his acceptance speech, the Florida-based artist emphasized the importance of R&B as his musical foundation. He noted that while he explores various genres, the honesty and freedom of R&B encourage him to trust his creative intuition.

Conrad’s recent work includes the Grammy-nominated R&B album ‘Love on Digital’, the jazz record ‘Whimsy!’, and the reggae album ‘Roadrunner’. He also credited artist Kehlani for introducing him to his manager, David Ali.
