Destiny Udogie transfer talks face hurdle between Roma and Tottenham

AS Roma is interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie, but negotiations face a hurdle regarding the transfer structure. Roma reportedly prefers an initial loan deal with an option to buy, whereas Tottenham is only interested in permanent offers. Reports suggest Tottenham may be willing to sell the 23-year-old Italian international for approximately €27m (£23m).

Regarding his physical condition, Tottenham has confirmed that Udogie is fully fit. The club is currently managing his workload with caution during pre-season to prevent muscular fatigue and ensure he reaches peak condition for the upcoming season. This careful management is intended to protect the defender, who plays a vital tactical role in head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s system.
