Destro AI raises $8M to coordinate mixed robot fleets in warehouses

Destro AI has secured $8 million in seed funding to expand its warehouse operating platform. The investment was led by CoFound Partners, with participation from Base10 Partners, Bonfire Ventures, and Unshackled Ventures.

Rather than manufacturing hardware, Destro AI focuses on a robot-neutral software layer designed to coordinate mixed fleets of robots and human workers. Its MothershipOS system manages task assignment and resource allocation, while VisionOS provides an intelligence layer for robots to identify and manipulate objects without manual scanning.

The company is currently conducting pilots with Yusen Logistics. An initial pilot in the Pacific Northwest utilized Miva Robotics hardware for cart movement, and the company plans to expand this to a 26-robot deployment. Additional pilots are scheduled for Yusen Logistics facilities in Southern California.
