Destry Damayanti reappointed as Governor of Bank Indonesia

Destry Damayanti has been reappointed as the Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) for a five-year term following her inauguration by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on September 2, 2026. The appointment follows Presidential Decree Number 92/P of 2026.

Alongside Damayanti, Aida S. Budiman was sworn in as Senior Deputy Governor, and Solikin M. Juhro was appointed as Deputy Governor. The full Board of Governors includes Filianingsih Hendarta, Ricky P. Gozali, Thomas A. M. Djiwandono, and Solikin M. Juhro.

Financial sector leaders, including OJK Chairperson Friderica Widyasari Dewi, expressed optimism regarding the new leadership. The focus for the incoming board includes strengthening policy mixes to maintain economic stability, enhancing synergy with the government and other authorities, and ensuring coordination within the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) to safeguard Indonesia's financial system.
