Detective Conan celebrates 30th anniversary with new TV special

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Detective Conan anime, a new two-hour television special titled ‘Detective Conan: The 30th Murder Case’ was broadcast on Nippon TV’s Friday Roadshow on September 25, 2026. The original story follows a national crisis involving the circulation of counterfeit 10,000 yen notes, featuring a massive ensemble cast including Conan Edogawa, Heiji Hattori, Toru Amuro, and Shuichi Akai.

Social media saw high engagement from fans regarding the appearance of popular characters and the high-stakes plot. In conjunction with the anniversary, TVer is providing free streaming of a 36-episode selection titled ‘Akane-iro ni Somaru Omoi!! Heiji & Kazuba Selection,’ focusing on the relationship between Heiji Hattori and Kazuha Toyama. This streaming event runs from September 26 to November 7, 2026, to coincide with the upcoming broadcast of ‘Akaneiro no Senshuuraku’.
