Detlef Soost discusses separation from wife Kate Hall

Choreographer and former ‘Popstars’ coach Detlef Soost has addressed the current status of his marriage to vocal coach Kate Hall. Speaking on Barbara Schöneberger’s podcast, ‘Frühstück bei Barbara’, Soost confirmed that the couple is currently living separately following a marital crisis in early 2025.

Soost described the situation as being on a ‘pause button,’ suggesting that while they are living apart, the relationship is not necessarily over. He noted that they maintain a very good relationship and recently spent his 56th birthday together with their children. He characterized their current state as a ‘still image that looks quite good,’ though he remained non-committal about whether they will eventually resume their relationship fully.
