Detmold firefighters extinguish hedge fire in Pivitsheide

The Detmold fire department responded to a blaze involving a hedge located near a building on the street "Am Langen Grund" in Pivitsheide on Sunday afternoon. Two teams using breathing apparatus and C-pipes successfully brought the fire under control.

During the operation, a street lamp was damaged. Following the extinguishment, crews used a thermal imaging camera to check for remaining embers. According to initial police findings, the fire was caused by the improper handling of fireworks.
