Detran-AC announces auction of 56 tons of vehicle scrap
The Acre State Transit Department (Detran-AC) has scheduled an online public auction for August 28 to sell approximately 56.2 tons of scrap metal intended for recycling. The material consists of ferrous components from roughly 55 vehicles and parts that have remained unclaimed in agency yards for over 60 days.
The auction, conducted via WR Leilões, will feature a single lot where bidding is determined by the highest price per kilogram. The minimum price is set at R$ 0.40 per kilogram, with an estimated minimum total value of R$ 22,484. Participation is restricted to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who possess specific environmental licenses for waste collection and recycling, as well as proof of links to steel mills.
