Detran-MS introduces optional fine payments for vehicle licensing

Detran-MS has updated its services to allow drivers in Mato Grosso do Sul to choose whether to include non-overdue traffic fines when paying for vehicle licensing. Through the new ‘Guia Flex’ system, available via the official portal, the ‘Meu Detran’ app, and WhatsApp, the inclusion of such fines is now optional rather than automatic.

This change aims to provide motorists with greater financial flexibility and autonomy over their debt management. Juliana Castro, manager of the Detran-MS Regional Agency in Campo Grande, stated that the measure is part of a digital transformation effort to place the user at the center of decision-making.

Digital channels continue to see high engagement in the region. Between January and September, the virtual assistant Gloria handled over 124,000 interactions via WhatsApp, with vehicle licensing guides being the most requested service.
