Detran-PR to host first State Traffic Safety Plan meeting
The Paraná State Traffic Department (Detran-PR) will hold the 1st Meeting of the State Traffic Safety Plan (PETRANS-PR) on December 1 and 2. The forum aims to bring together researchers, municipal and state authorities, and technical experts to discuss traffic policies.
Organized in partnership with the State Health Secretariat, the event will take place at the auditorium of the Federal Highway Police Superintendency of Paraná. It will run alongside the 11th State Forum of the Traffic Life Program (PVT-PR). Key topics include pedestrian and driver profiles, motorcycle riding studies, and the risks associated with platform-based work in transit.
PETRANS-PR, which was presented to the public in 2025, is currently in its implementation phase. Paraná was the first Brazilian state to complete this document, which is inspired by the federal plan (PNATRANS). The five-year plan (2025–2030) focuses on strengthening road safety implementation and promoting sustainable mobility.
