Detroit Lions Activate Tight End Tyler Conklin from PUP List

Veteran tight end Tyler Conklin passed his physical and will be removed from the Detroit Lions' Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, making him eligible to rejoin practice. The Lions signed Conklin to a one‑year deal worth just over $1 million, adding experienced depth to a position group hit by injuries.

The Lions have placed rookie Miles Kitselman on injured reserve and lost Anthony Firkser to IR after a broken fibula, leaving only Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright as established starters. General manager Brad Holmes also added Nick Muse and brought Zach Horton back to the roster. Conklin will compete for the third tight‑end spot behind LaPorta and Wright as the team prepares for preseason games.
