Detroit Lions finalize 53-man roster with Kennedy and Brooks

The Detroit Lions have finalized their 53-man roster by promoting wide receiver Tom Kennedy from the practice squad to the active roster. Kennedy is expected to provide depth at the wide receiver position and will serve as the team’s punt returner for the upcoming season opener against the New Orleans Saints.

To fill the vacancy created on the practice squad, the Lions added defensive back Natrone Brooks. Brooks, who previously spent three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, has transitioned from cornerback to safety this offseason and provides additional depth to the secondary.
