Detroit Lions manage roster moves and player absences
The Detroit Lions are managing roster adjustments and player absences as they approach the end of their preseason training camp. Two pass rushers, Derrick Moore and Ahmed Hassanein, unexpectedly missed Wednesday’s practice. No official diagnosis or explanation for their absence has been provided by the team. Moore, a second-round rookie, had recently returned from a groin injury and performed well in the preseason opener against Washington.
In response to injuries in the secondary, specifically involving cornerback Nick Whiteside, the Lions have signed cornerback Eric Scott Jr. to their 90-man roster. Scott, who previously spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs, aims to provide depth as the team prepares for its final preseason game.
