Detroit Lions Outline Cornerback Race and Offensive Depth Chart Ahead of 2026 Training Camp

The Detroit Lions are entering their 2026 training camp with a wide open competition for the starting cornerback opposite D.J. Reed after former first‑round pick Terrion Arnold was released following his arrest. Coach Dan Campbell has highlighted several contenders, including second‑year Ennis Rakestraw Jr., veteran Rock Ya‑Sin, recent draft pick Keith Abney II, and experienced backups Roger McCreary and Khalil Dorsey, noting that the final decision will be made during camp.

On the offensive side, the Lions have hired Drew Petzing as the new offensive coordinator. Quarterback Jared Goff remains the starter, with Teddy Bridgewater and Luke Altmyer listed as backups. The backfield features Jahmyr Gibbs as the lead running back, with Isiah Pacheco as his primary reserve. Wide receiver starters are Amon‑Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Isaac TeSlaa, while a number of players, including injured Kendrick Law, round out the depth chart. The revamped roster aims to improve consistency after an uneven 2025 season.
