Detroit Lions safeties Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch provide injury updates

The Detroit Lions have provided updates regarding the health of safeties Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch ahead of the upcoming NFL season. Both players are currently on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, which guarantees they will miss at least the first four games of the campaign.

Kerby Joseph has returned to the team in Allen Park to continue his rehabilitation following a knee issue. While head coach Dan Campbell did not provide a specific timetable for Joseph’s return to active play, the player's presence at the facility is considered a positive development.

Safeties coach Jim O’Neill reported that both Joseph and Branch are making significant progress, stating they are “crushing rehab.” The Lions are scheduled to open their season against the New Orleans Saints on September 13.
