Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions make defensive back roster moves

The Philadelphia Eagles are signing veteran cornerback Kenny Moore II to their practice squad on a one-year deal worth up to $3 million. Moore, a former Pro Bowler who spent nine seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, is expected to provide depth at slot corner and safety.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions are addressing significant injuries in their secondary. The team has signed veteran safety Jalen Mills to their practice squad following a season-ending foot injury to starter Avonte Maddox. Additionally, the Lions signed safety Bishop Fitzgerald from the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad to their 53-man active roster. These moves come as the Lions look to bolster their defensive depth ahead of their Week 3 matchup against the New York Jets.
