Detroit Lions sign tight end Nick Muse, release corner Terrion Arnold
The Detroit Lions have added former Minnesota Vikings seventh‑round pick tight end Nick Muse to their roster. Muse, 27, spent three seasons on the Vikings' practice squad before being released and is expected to compete for the TE2 role behind Sam LaPorta.
Defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard publicly addressed the departure of former first‑round corner Terrion Arnold, saying the player never realized his “untapped potential” and that his release was not a setback for the team. Arnold left the Lions amid legal troubles and performance concerns, while head coach Dan Campbell highlighted optimism about the remaining cornerback group.
The moves reflect the Lions’ ongoing effort to reshape their offense and defense ahead of the 2026 season.
