Detroit Lions place starters Brian Branch, Kerby Joseph on PUP list
The Detroit Lions placed starting safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list as training camp begins, and also moved veteran tight end Tyler Conklin to the PUP list with an injury. Branch, 24, suffered a season‑ending Achilles‑tendon tear in Week 14 of the prior season. Joseph, 25, was limited to six games last year after a knee injury.
