Detroit mother and newborn injured in ambush attack
A mother and her four-week-old baby were hospitalized following an ambush attack at a home on the west side of Detroit, Michigan. The mother, identified by the pseudonym Taylor, reported being lured to the residence under the pretense that family members of the child’s father wanted to see the newborn.
During the encounter, Taylor described a ‘three versus one’ assault that lasted approximately ten minutes. The infant was reportedly thrown from his stroller, landing face down on the ground, which resulted in facial bruising and a swollen eye. Taylor sustained wounds across her body during the beating.
The Detroit Police Department is currently handling the case and is preparing to transfer the investigation to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office to pursue formal charges.
