Detroit Pistons make quiet roster upgrades ahead of 2026‑27 season

The Detroit Pistons completed a low‑key offseason, adding shooters Isaiah Joe, Taurean Prince and Gary Harris while signing former Clippers forward John Collins to a three‑year, $51 million deal. General manager Trajan Langdon said the moves aim to give Cade Cunningham a reliable second option and improve spacing and three‑point shooting.

The team is also negotiating a new contract for young center Jalen Duren, who is expected to receive a qualifying offer, and has been linked with possible extensions in August. Analysts note that the Pistons could still pursue veteran guard DeMar DeRozan if the free‑agent market remains open, as part of their effort to stay competitive after a 60‑win regular season.
