Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker is currently considered day-to-day due to an upper-body injury. Head coach Todd McLellan confirmed the status as the team nears the end of its preseason training camp.

Bernard-Docker, who recently signed a two-year contract extension, has appeared in two of the team's first three preseason games but has not recorded a point. His injury status adds complexity to the team's defensive roster decisions, as several younger players, including William Wallinder and Axel Sandin-Pellikka, are competing for limited roster spots.

Additionally, forward Dylan Larkin is expected to miss the Red Wings' final preseason game against the Columbus Blue Jackets while recovering from an upper-body injury. The Red Wings are scheduled to begin their regular season on October 2 against the New York Rangers.
