Detroit Red Wings confront GM vacancy and Dylan Larkin trade saga

The team's captain, Dylan Larkin, submitted a trade request in June. Reports suggest he is firm on leaving, with possible destinations such as the Minnesota Wild. The Red Wings have also explored free‑agent options to add offensive talent, notably a near‑signing of Anthony Mantha before Yzerman’s departure and recent interest in winger Eeli Tolvanen.
