Detroit Red Wings sign forward Chase Stillman to one-year two-way deal

The Detroit Red Wings have signed 23‑year‑old forward Chase Stillman to a one‑year, two‑way contract. The deal includes an NHL cap hit of $850,000 and a minor‑league salary of $95,000 for the 2026‑27 season. Stillman, a first‑round pick (29th overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft, spent the 2025‑26 season with the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks, recording nine points (3‑6‑9) in 24 games after stints with the Utica Comets and Wilkes‑Barre/Scranton Penguins. He previously appeared in two Calder Cup playoff games for the Penguins. Stillman is the younger brother of Riley Stillman and son of former NHL veteran Cory Stillman. Prior to turning professional he played junior hockey in the OHL and won a gold medal with Canada at the 2021 IIHF World U‑18 Championship.
