Detroit Red Wings to host NHL Prospect Tournament in September
The Detroit Red Wings will host a four-team NHL Prospect Tournament from September 12 to September 15 at the BELFOR Training Center inside Little Caesars Arena. The event features 24 players, including recent draft picks and free agents, competing against prospect teams from the Dallas Stars, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
Among the Detroit roster are first-round picks Nate Danielson and Carter Bear. Goaltender Trey Augustine is highlighted as a top prospect to watch following a successful collegiate career at Michigan State, where he earned consecutive Big Ten Goaltender of the Year honors.
The tournament marks a return to Michigan for a multi-team format after previous iterations were held in Traverse City or at the Comerica Center in Frisco due to logistical and cost considerations.
