Detroit strip club shooting leaves three dead and four injured

Three people were killed and four others were injured during a shooting at an after-hours strip club in Detroit, Michigan, early Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 7:21 a.m. on a residential street near the intersection of Prest Street and Eaton Avenue.

Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison reported that the gunfire followed an altercation or fight at the establishment. The three deceased victims were identified as men in their 30s. The four injured individuals, consisting of two men and two women in their 20s and 30s, were transported to local hospitals via private vehicles; their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Authorities noted that the location has been a point of interest for the department previously, having received seven police calls at that address so far this year. Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield described the event as “heartbreaking” and called for community cooperation to help bring justice, while also pledging to crack down on illegal after-hours businesses.
