Detroit Tigers defeat Minnesota Twins 11-6 in extra innings

The Detroit Tigers defeated the Minnesota Twins 11-6 on Wednesday night in Minneapolis, salvaging the final game of a three-game series. The victory was secured in the 12th inning after Spencer Torkelson hit a two-run home run and Javier Báez delivered a bases-clearing double.

Newly called-up player John Peck contributed three RBIs during his first two career hits, including a two-run double in the second inning. Other offensive contributors for Detroit included Hao-Yu Lee, Riley Greene, and Max Clark. Kyle Finnegan earned the win after pitching the final two innings.

Despite a strong eighth inning from the Twins featuring three runs from Brooks Lee and a single by Royce Lewis, Minnesota could not overcome the late Detroit surge. The loss marks the first time the Twins have lost in four games, leaving them 3.5 games behind Cleveland for the third American League wild-card spot.
