Detroit Tigers defeat Minnesota Twins to end seven-series losing streak

The Detroit Tigers defeated the Minnesota Twins 7-2 at Comerica Park on Wednesday, snapping a seven-series losing streak. The game, which faced an initial delay due to inclement weather, was highlighted by a first-inning two-run home run from Colt Keith, marking his tenth of the season.

Detroit's offense was supported by runs from Dillon Dingler, John Peck, and Hao-Yu Lee. While starter Keider Montero exited the game early following the birth of his child, reliever Tyler Holton earned the victory after pitching two scoreless innings.

The Twins struggled offensively, managing only five hits. Their scoring was limited to back-to-back solo home runs by Kody Clemens and Josh Bell in the fourth inning. Minnesota starter Zebby Matthews struggled with command, allowing five runs and four walks in just 2 1/3 innings.
