Detroit Tigers reactivate Venezuelan pitcher Keider Montero

The Detroit Tigers have reactivated Venezuelan right-handed pitcher Keider Montero following a brief stint on the paternity list. To facilitate Montero's return to the Major League roster, the team has moved fellow Venezuelan pitcher Yilber Díaz down to their Triple-A affiliate, the Toledo Mud Hens.

Montero has been a key part of the Tigers' rotation this season, recording a 9-8 record with a 3.55 ERA across 24 starts and 30 total games. His last start occurred on September 9, which resulted in no decision. In contrast, Yilber Díaz, who joined the team after being claimed off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks in June, appeared in four games with a 6.75 ERA.
