Detroit Tigers shut out Cleveland Guardians without a strikeout

The Detroit Tigers defeated the Cleveland Guardians 3-0, achieving a rare pitching feat by recording a shutout without a single strikeout. Keider Montero led the effort, pitching 6 1/3 innings while allowing only three hits and one walk. Tyler Holton and Kenley Jansen completed the shutout, with Jansen securing his 15th save in a perfect ninth inning. This marks the first time an MLB team has blanked an opponent without a strikeout since July 1, 2014.

Offensively, the Tigers were supported by an RBI groundout from Dillon Dingler, a home run from Eduardo Valencia, and a run-scoring single by Spencer Torkelson.
