Deus Stanislaus emerges as key player for UNC women's soccer
Seventeen-year-old midfielder Deus Stanislaus has become a key contributor for the No. 1 ranked University of North Carolina women’s soccer team. After leaving high school early, the first-year player has quickly established herself in the Tar Heel offense.
During a recent stretch of play, Stanislaus scored her first career goal against the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She also started in a high-profile match against Duke before recording a career-high two goals in a 5-0 victory over Alcorn State University.
Originally from Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, Stanislaus previously played for the Players Development Academy and served as the top goalscorer during the 2026 Women’s Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers.
