Deutsche Bahn construction triggers August bus replacements across Germany

Deutsche Bahn InfraGO is carrying out major rail upgrades that will temporarily suspend regional train services in August, with replacement buses provided for affected passengers.

In Lage (Lippe), an electronic interlocking system is being installed to improve reliability on lines between Bad Salzuflen‑Sylbach, Lage, Detmold, Lemgo and Oerlinghausen. The work runs until 3 August, during which RE 82, RB 72 and RB 73 services are cancelled and substitute buses operate on the affected routes.

In Munich, the Westkreuz project involves building a new bridge to stabilise S‑Bahn traffic. From 3 August to 10 August, S6, S8 and S5 lines, as well as the Werdenfelsbahn, will run on replacement bus services, with specific stop changes and reduced frequencies noted for each line.
