Deutsche Bahn modernizes rail infrastructure in Stadtoldendorf

Deutsche Bahn InfraGO is conducting extensive modernization work at the Stadtoldendorf station to improve infrastructure quality and performance. The project involves renewing tracks, sleepers, and four switches, as well as updating associated technical equipment.

A primary focus of the measures is the middle track, which is used for freight transport. Workers are replacing old wooden sleepers with modern reinforced concrete sleepers and renewing the ballast bed. The construction, which utilizes heavy machinery including rail excavators and cranes, is expected to continue until the end of October and will cause significant restrictions to rail traffic.
