Deutsche Bahn modernizing switches in Munich-Pasing

Deutsche Bahn is modernizing 23 switches in Munich-Pasing, leading to significant schedule changes for S-Bahn, regional, and long-distance rail services. Due to reduced track availability during the construction, the S-Bahn core route will operate with limited service.

Between September 8 and September 14, only the S2 and S8 lines will run completely according to their regular schedules. Other lines will face extensive changes. For travel between Pasing and the city center, passengers can utilize the S8, the S4 to the main station (without stops at/from Pasing), or regional services.

Long-distance trains will be diverted, resulting in the cancellation of most stops in Pasing throughout the construction period. Deutsche Bahn advises passengers to expect crowded trains during peak hours and suggests using alternative transport, such as regional trains, Tram 14 with U5 connections, or Tram 19.
