Deutsche Bank to relocate infrastructure teams to Canary Wharf
Deutsche Bank has announced it will relocate its infrastructure, technology, and operations teams to the YY London office building in Canary Wharf. The move is planned for early 2028, ahead of the expiration of the bank’s current lease at 10 Upper Bank Street in July 2028.
The YY London building, a recently renovated facility formerly occupied by Thomson Reuters Corp., is owned by a consortium including Oaktree Capital Management and Quadrant Estates. The building already serves as the global headquarters for the fintech company Revolut.
Deutsche Bank’s UK and Ireland CEO, Vathany Vijayaratna, stated that the decision was driven by the building’s sustainability performance, employee experience, and its ability to support modern working styles. The relocation is expected to strengthen the Canary Wharf district, which has seen recent redevelopment including new residential and leisure amenities.
