Deutsche Finance Investment faces insolvency risks and reporting discrepancies

Deutsche Finance Investment is facing significant internal turmoil, including falling placement numbers, issues with institutional clients, delayed annual reports, and the potential insolvency of the DF Deutsche Finance Investment Fund 17. Approximately 50,000 private investors are concerned about roughly 1.4 billion euros invested with the Munich-based provider.

The law firm TILP has raised questions regarding the transparency of the company's communications. Specifically, while 17 of the 21 active retail funds have failed to provide 2024 data due to allegedly missing audited statements from investment properties, Deutsche Finance Investment reported a total net fund volume of 838.2 million euros for 2024 in its audited annual report. This discrepancy suggests that data may exist despite claims to the contrary. The company has previously been subject to a special commissioner appointed by BaFin.
