Deutsche Getränke Logistik expands in Northern Germany

Deutsche Getränke Logistik (DGL) is expanding its presence in Northern Germany through a share deal to acquire several traditional companies in the Hamburg metropolitan region. The acquisition includes Joh. Kirchhoff und Söhne GmbH & Co. KG, Rudolf Timmermann GmbH, and AGH Alster-Getränke Hamburg GmbH.

The transaction, which is subject to antitrust approval, integrates a group of companies that has operated since the beginning of the last century. The acquired entities employ approximately 70 people, operate a fleet of 27 vehicles, and serve roughly 1,500 customers. A 23,000 square meter facility in Barsbüttel will serve as a central hub to improve efficiency for urban customers in Hamburg and expand gastronomy services between Kiel and Rostock. Current owners Annika and Felix Lüth will remain in leadership roles.
