DHL AG: Deutsche Post officially rebrands parent company

The logistics giant formerly known as Deutsche Post AG has officially rebranded its parent company to DHL AG, effective September 1, 2026. This change follows a shareholder vote in May where 99.95 percent of participants approved the restructuring.

Under the new corporate architecture, the name Deutsche Post AG will be retained but moved down one level to serve as a subsidiary. This subsidiary will be responsible for the group’s core domestic business of mail and parcel delivery in Germany. This move aims to align the legal structure with the company’s international management and revenue streams, as the DHL brand is more globally recognized.

For investors, the company's shares will now be traded under the name DHL. While the corporate identity shifts, the company stated that daily operations and services for German customers, including mailboxes and parcel stations, will remain unchanged. The restructuring was advised by the law firm Freshfields.
